Welcome Educators!
The goal of this module is to provide educators with the knowledge to use and implement iPads in K-8 classrooms as an instructional tool in order to produce an effective learning environment to meet the needs of diverse learners. Educators will become familiar with the basic usage of the iPad, select appropriate educational apps, learn about recommended apps for diverse learners, and then implement these apps into the classroom.

Why iPads?
The use of an iPad in a K-8 environment has the ability to create a positive learning environment for both the students and the teacher. IPads give educators the opportunity to, “extend the classroom beyond these four walls,” (Bruder, 2011). Some learning opportunities include building presentations, video chatting with classrooms around the world, digital storytelling, watching videos and lectures assigned by the instructor, and even assisting with classroom behavior.
